Assistant General Counsel
Provides legal advice to the University Health System
(including the Hospitals, Medical School Faculty Group
Practice, Health Centers, and Michigan Health Corporation)
on health related and corporate matters, including state
and federal regulatory issues, reimbursement, patient
care, and contract and corporate transactions. Areas
of focus include mergers & acquisitions, reimbursement,
and compliance. Serves as legal advisor to the system's
Compliance Committees, Health Ventures Committee, the
Michigan Health Corporation, and the Michigan Visiting
Nurses.
