Assistant General Counsel
Provides legal advice and representation to the University
in all matters involving medical malpractice. Has primary
responsibility for engaging and supervising outside
counsel; providing advice and counsel to physicians
and health care providers in the context of pending
or possible litigation and consulting with Risk Management
for statistical analyses of trends and areas of concern.
Serves on the Medical Liability Review Committee and
the Claims Management Committee. Provides proactive
educational sessions on medical-legal topics aimed at
avoiding and managing litigation.
