Associate Vice President
and Deputy General Counsel
Assists the Vice President & General Counsel in
providing legal advice to University Health System administrators
and in overall management of the Health System Legal
Office. Advises the medical center (five hospitals,
medical school, nursing school, pharmacy school, dental
school, Student Health Services) and M-Care on health
related legal issues including: genetics, new technology,
patients rights, research and ethical issues. Advises
Medical School Institutional Review Board does administrative
law work including certificate of need and licensing
questions.
