CHRISTINE GERDES
Associate General Counsel
Christine Gerdes joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2008. Christine's practice area focuses on faculty affairs, including personnel matters and policy review and interpretation. Prior to joining the General Counsel's Office, Christine worked in Academic Human Resources at the University. Before returning to higher education, she worked as a management-side labor and employment attorney at a large Michigan law firm. Christine has also held administrative appointments at Eastern Michigan University and with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. Christine received her B.S. (English - Teaching) from Winona State University, her M.A. (Educational Policy and Administration - Higher Education) from the University of Minnesota, and her J.D. from Wayne State University.
